AAMU Program Expanding to Other HBCUs

Applications Open for 1890 LGI Fire Training Program Consortium
The 1890 Land Grant 澳门金沙城中心_波音赌场下载-真人app (LGI) Fire Training Program Consortium is now accepting applications for Fire Trainees. The program which got its start at Alabama A&M University 12 years ago to increase the participation of minorities in fire management now includes Florida A&M University, Southern University and Tuskegee University.
All expenses paid program events include:
- Kickoff in Panama City Nov. 10 – 12
- 2-Day Professional Workshop & Drone Symposium hosted at Tuskegee University Feb. 16 – 18
- Wildland Fire Training at AAMU May 28 – June 7, 2024
The program is open to full-time students majoring in forestry, natural resources,
or?any science major with at least at 2.5 GPA. Participants receive a $3,500 stipend, travel support to conferences and training events, fire field training and experiential learning, and fire certifications.
